Kalanchoe - Final

We'll I'm just tickled with how these turned out. The pinky red of the blossoms is such a nice counter balance to the yellow whites and blues throughout the piece. It really came together last night.

I've forgotten how much fun that thick texture can be to paint - will have to make some time to experiment further....

Ah!

Seeing the progress of this work has been such a delight!

It's so true about the waiting--it drives me crazy when I have to wait for something to dry before I mess with it again (or in your case, skillfully lay down another element in the painting).

The textures are sensual and add so much rhythm and movement to the piece; a true painting that reaches from the imagination and touches down on the canvas.

Beautiful, beautiful work. It exudes its own light.

I.
