Palm Sunday

Anyone who knows me really well knows I am a nut for Icons and mosaics and the like. To mark Easter week, I figured I would post a really old piece that I did of Christ crucified. It is notable in that it is one of only a handful of palette knife paintings and I painted it at a time when I was renewing fledgling painting career.
Anyways. There you have it. If you were hoping to catch the finished Koi painting - check back in a few days!

This is similarly breathtaking (what work of yours am I not impressed by??)--I love the thickness of the strokes, the Fauvist sensibility in color and line.

I want to say it's a passionate piece, but I risk the unintentional pun!

It's really gorgeous. Thanks for sharing it.

I.

Thanks Ivan, its one of those pieces I think I'll always hang onto.

Take care!

Michelle,

This is such a wonderful piece - particularly because we now know that you created it with palette knife... thank you for sharing it during this very special season of Easter.

Thanks Joanne - the palette knife is a tool that I have a love/hate relationship with.

I've been thinking about doing a few more pieces with one. We'll see.
